The Healing Path

Walk beside us

Stories of healing along the way, and the moments that moved everything. Some of it happened in therapy, some in treatment, and a great deal of it happened quietly on our own.

The moments that moved everything

A chronological log of therapeutic shifts and breakthroughs. Where a date was never recorded, it is marked as approximate or unknown rather than guessed.
  1. 1992

    Recognising the fragments

We began to recognise the fragmented nature of our identity, initiating the first steps towards understanding and healing.

  2. 2000

    Embracing art therapy

Art therapy became a pivotal tool, allowing expression and processing of deep-seated emotions through creative outlets rather than words alone.

  3. Approximate / Unknown Date

    Building a support network

Our system connected with a community of survivors, which provided strength and solidarity and reinforced the importance of shared experience. The exact year is not recorded.

  4. 2025

    Inner communication holding

Information began to stay shared across the system instead of disappearing. Insiders started to hear each other and to remember having done so.

Insider transformations

Autonomy, empowerment, and self-determination

Growth and change over time, in the words we use with each other.

Autonomy in action

Learning to embrace ourselves and each other as we navigate healing, aligning the power of autonomy with our true spirit.

Self-determination

Forging our own path to recovery — recognising our inner strength and reaching personal goals and milestones in life and healing.

Collaborative growth

Working together to foster communication, mutual support, cooperation, and collaboration, leading toward lasting healing and system harmony.

Content AdvisoryPatterns we have learned to recognise — includes discussion of triggers, flashbacks, and the aftermath of abuse.

Certain patterns repeat: a good stretch of therapy, then a sudden loss of what had been shared inside; a body memory arriving before any words; an insider going quiet after telling the truth. Naming the pattern is what keeps it from feeling like failure.

We now write these patterns down as they happen, because the record is what survives the dissociation.
